Encompo Engineering cc came into operation in April 1981 as a one man business and has steadily grown through some tough economical times.
Encompo Engineering cc came under new management in July 2003 through Leon Grobler and Arthur Strey, who were both ex-employees and prominent figures in the operations of Encompo Engineering cc. Both are qualified artisans with Leon specialising in Hydraulic repairs and Arthur more in precision manufacturing of a wide range of components.
Servicing a customer base of 41, with respresentatives sourcing new business on a daily basis, is an indication of a good name that prevails in the market. We are always willing to adapt to our clients needs and have therefore extended our working ours to a six day week with management on standby for our clients convenience.
We as management value our personnel highly and have assisted in many ways (finacially and otherwise) and work with them to improve at all times to further satisfy our clients. The company is managed on high moral standards and has become known as a trustworthy organisation.
The managing members and other key staff have, for the past 26 years, been involved with Encompo Engineering cc on various major projects specialising in the Hydraulic and Engineering fields for Earth Moving, Mining, Contracting and Maintenance sectors.
Encompo Engineering cc has 44 personnel with qualified fitter and turners who are highly experienced in Engineering and Hydraulics. Other competencies include Drilling, Welding and Hydraulic Testing.
The Workshop boasts with personnel of which roughly 50% have been employed for longer than 10 years and roughly 25% longer than 5 years.
Ongoing training takes place on a regular basis to equip our staff with the necessary skills needed to execute their tasks and ensure a knowledge transfer. This is of the utmost importance to us as the company can not afford to employ excessive personnel and will therefore be able to cover for unexpected complications.
Encompo Engineering cc is blessed with a support team of the highest quality that helps the other team members with customer liaison and general administration activities. The Administration department is managed by 3 competent ladies with years of experience, 1 of which holds an N6 Business Management Certificate.
All purchasing is done through a buying department, who is assisted and guided by the members and Workshop Manager. The supplier base has been narrowed over a couple of years and relations have been built. Quality is an absolute essence and all materials purchased are accompanied by material test certificates issued by the Union Steel Corporation of South Africa.
Servicing so many companies, it is of utmost importance that our risk exposure is limited. A consistent standard of service and product has been achieved through this approach.
